Michiel Huisman as Game of Thrones sellsword Daario Naharis

If you’re a fan of both HBO’s massively popular adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s book series A Song of Ice and Fire and of America’s favorite brand of motorcycle, then this next bit of news should be right up your alley. Discovery Channel is in the process of filming a new miniseries based on the true story of the Milwaukee natives who created a motorcycle empire, and the network just cast two actors from Game of Thrones in the lead roles.

Discovery Channel’s miniseries is called Harley and the Davidsons and is set to premiere later this year. A rare scripted drama from the reality- and documentary-focused channel, the series will be six hours long and will be based on the true story of Walter Davidson, William Davidson, Arthur Davidson and William Harley, young men living in Wisconsin with great ambition and even greater obstacles to overcome. Just cast in the role of Walter Davidson is Michiel Huisman, who plays Daario Naharis — Daenerys Targaryen’s bodyguard and love interest — on the HBO series. If you’re familiar with Daario, then it’s actually not too much of a stretch to imagine the cocky mercenary coolly riding into the city of Meereen on a big bad hog.

Another GoT actor plays a major role in Harley and the Davidsons, though you may not know him quite yet. Robert Aramayo, of Nocturnal Animals fame, was cast as the titular William Harley, literally the man with the plan. Aramayo was recently cast in the latest season of Game of Thrones, in a role that has been left a mystery to fans and press, so you’ll be introduced to him very soon.

We can’t wait to see the amazing Harley-Davidson story told cinematically on the small screen!
