If you’re a fan of comic books, action movies, motorcycles or free stuff, you’ll want to sit up and pay attention. Marvel Studios and Harley-Davidson have joined forces for The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron Sweepstakes, and you could win big!
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” smashed records to become the highest grossing film opening in April of all time this past weekend, raking in an astonishing $96.2 million. Featuring a star-studded cast including Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson, the much-anticipated sequel to “Captain America: The First Avenger” is packed with action, adventure and some major plot-twists. And at our Harley dealership in Manchester, we would like to point out that it features some pretty impressive motorcycles, too!
Captain America has long been known to favor a Harley-Davidson, and two of our models are featured prominently during his latest on-screen endeavors. The new 2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout serves as Steve Rogers’ everyday bike, according to Jen Hoyer, media relations manager for Harley. When Captain Rogers dons his Captain America persona, he rides the all-new Street 750, demonstrating how the smaller, urban-focused bike still packs plenty of power and speed.
We’ve written about the new Street 750 and Street 500 bikes before, and we can’t wait until these new motorcycles designed for urban use hit our lot in June. With a lighter body that’s lower to the ground than most models, the Street series bikes are designed to navigate heavy traffic and escape gridlock, but are also pretty handy when chasing down genetically altered super villains. The 2014 Breakout is a more traditional performance cruiser, with big wheels and a big attitude that befit an American hero.
It’s great to see Harley-Davidson’s iconic American status reaffirmed in the latest line of Captain America movies, and we can’t’ wait until the Street 750 hits our lot this summer! Swing by our Manchester Harley dealership for more info on the Street 750, or to test-drive the 2014 Breakout today.
For the first time in 13 years, Harley-Davidson is introducing an all-new platform to its storied line of motorcycles.
Revealed in an announcement on November 5, the new Harley-Davidson Street 750 and Street 500 motorcycles bring riders the same look, sound and feel they’ve come to expect from their Harley-Davidson bikes, but with a new lean build and light frame. The two newest additions to the “Dark Custom” line of motorcycles are designed for the next generation of young, urban Harley-Davidson fanatics.
Lower to the ground and significantly lighter than most Harley-Davidson models, the two bikes in the Street series are designed to nimbly and efficiently navigate heavy city traffic and escape gridlock. Built to tackle tight turns with unmatched maneuverability, both the Street 750 and Street 500 motorcycles feature the new liquid-cooled Revolution X V-Twin engine. And with a price range that falls well below many of the bigger Harley-Davidson models riders know and love, both Street bikes are affordable even on a tight budget.
But don’t let the low cost and smaller size of the Street series fool you – these bikes come with the distinctive look and sound that let everyone on the block know you’re riding a Harley-Davidson. Featuring a blank canvas designed to let riders run wild with customization, the new Street 750 and Street 500 bikes are beautiful bikes that will only get better looking as our riders add their personal touches.
“These new bikes are leaner, yet still have a mean streak – they’re the real deal, made of real steel,” said Mark-Hans Richer, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Harley-Davidson Motor Company. “Both the Street 750 and Street 500 were designed with thousands of hours of input from young adults in cities around the world. This input guided both the attitude and capabilities of these motorcycles. They are proof that being customer-led continues to be a core driver of our product development process.”
The Street 750 and Street 500 motorcycles are scheduled for availability in 2014, but you can stop by our New Hampshire Harley-Davidson dealership today to learn more about these new lightweight bikes.
